If this is the first time you have activated Hey Siri, you will need to teach Siri the sound of your voice. This ensures only you can tell Siri what to do. It’s a straightforward setup process. Follow the onscreen instructions, and read the words on the screen – those in quote marks. You only need to do this once.

NOTE: You will see the Allow Siri When Locked option. If you want to have Siri only available AFTER the lock screen – meaning after you have unlocked your device, then leave this Off. If you want Siri available all the time, turn it On.

How do I get Siri on my iPhone?

Siri has been part of the iPhone since 2011 when the iPhone 4S was released. You don’t have to add Siri to your iPhone. You only need to activate it.
