Internet of Things

Also called IoT, is the term to describe the almost 36 billion physical devices connected to the internet. Thanks to small and cheap computer chips and wireless networks, almost any physical object can be transformed into an IoT device. Toys, lightbulbs, refrigerators, door locks, medical sensors, cars, parking meters, and robots are a few examples of IoT devices. By 2025, it is expected that there will be over 5 billion IoT devices.
