Wi-Fi

A radio signal that connects nearby devices to the internet. A Wi-Fi network is created when a wireless router connected to the internet sends its signals to any Wi-Fi enabled device within roughly 50 meters. Hedy Lamarr, the Austrian-American actress, is credited for developing the technology that formed the foundation of Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth communication.
